Harold Dean Johnson was born
and raised in Richmond, Indiana but his parents: James Wm. Johnson and Ruby E. Parkey
Johnson were born in Whitley Co. Ky. He loves to visit Whitley County and just recently
said he wished he had been born and raised there. He loves the beautiful scenery
there. He made one final trip there in June 2000 while very ill to find his
grandmother's grave-Mary Elizabeth Alsip Johnson. She is buried in the James H. Moore
Cemetery and he always wanted to find it. Mary died giving birth to Harold's father and he
always wanted to find her grave.
Grandson of Henry and Mary Elizabeth Alsip Johnson of Whitley County, Kentucky also
grandson of George Alfred and Samantha Worley Parkey. Great grandson of Alexander Millard
Filmore Alsip and Catherine Salina Josephine Moore Alsip of Whitley County.
